Eee! I haven't written an entry in forever! So sorry. You know if you ever need to get a hold of my there's always email or deviantart. Speaking of which, I haven't seen you on deviant lately. How's your drawings coming? Right now I'm in the middle of a collab with my sis and I'll post it on DA when it's complete :D OMG YOU GOT A PS3?! Sheeeeesh not fair, lol. I'm just kidding...but I really want one and have no money for it, blah!! Which games have you gotten for it? Assassin's Creed looks awesome and so does Heaven's Blade. I really want to get one before Final Fantasy XIII comes out. I noticed my last entry I was talking about FFXII and how hard it was for me. It took me a month to beat it...and I'm still playing it! I've got all but 2 sky pirate's icons in my den, whoo hoo! It's my favorite Final Fantasy thus far. I can't wait for FFXII: Revenant Wings for the DS to come out and FF Tactics for the PSP. Tactics on the PlayStation was my first Final Fantasy I ever played so it will be fun to play it on the PSP if it comes to America. Well its a few days into the new year... I have bought a few new animes Fate/Stay Night being my fav new anime right now. I have also bought myself a PS3 wooo... its alright I guess... Hmmmm how I always made money in FFXII was just to simply go out and lvl up a bit collecting things and then selling it all before moving on in the story... but thats just me... I will say the quikening moves are fun to pull off when everyone has one^^ Well I'm not so sure about my new year hehe... It's almost the new year! Happy 2007 hehe. Not much going on with me right now. I'm still practicing drawing and I got a new tablet to play with. I'm into watching Deathnote anime. It's really good. For Christmas I got Final Fantasy XII and am currently playing it. It's pwning me so much! >< I can never seem to get enough funds to buy anything :P Seriously, it's much harder than FFX, but I still love it. And that's pretty much it for now. Ok... I took a skyrail up into the rainforest to a town that was out there. The pic of the waterfall I took on the train ride back down the mountain. I got your pictures you sent me and they're great! What's the story behind them I'm wondering. The scuba diving looked like it was a lot of fun. And were you hiking on a trail when you went by the waterfall? Glad you joined DA :D. I've got ya featured on my journal so hopefully more people will add you to their list. Let's see. I don't like my classes this semester, except for maybe iMedia. So far, they're going ok but I hope things don't get any busier for me, which I know they will because second half of the semester is always a lot more busy ><'' I'm playing Okami and Dirge of Cerberus. I feel bad because I've started both games but it's hard to find time to just sit down and play them. I usually have a ton of things I want to get done and not enough time to do any of them so I end up wasting time DDRing. It's good exercise at least. And I don't like to think of it as waste because I enjoy it so much and it makes me feel better. So hopefully, you're enjoying more things in your life than I am in mine right now. Ack, sorry about not posting sooner but I spent some time moving stuff over from my old comp so I could get rid of it and work solely on my new one. I think I saved all my art...I like to keep every drawing I do...no matter how much skill was put into it...it's like I can remember what I was feeling at the time and if I throw it away I'll be throwing a part of me away with it. Hehe, I even hate chucking old doodles on little scraps of paper, but there are some limits to the amount of work I'll save.

Also, I started classes again! Lol, this semester feels like it's going to be really hard but then again every semester tends to feel that way >< Once I get back into the swing of things it shouldn't be too bad.

Hehe, thanks for dropping by Deviant and taking a look at my stuff ^-^ Let's see, this week is gonna be kinda crazy because VBS just started again and I'm running the crafts just like I've been doing for the last several years (lost count). Yeah, my finals went alright. I got my grades back and I ended up doing much better than I thought I would which is always a relief XD I'm spending a lot of time on deviantArt lately. I've got a good amount of photos I've done for photography up there as well as some recent pics. Right now I'm working on a fanart of Sora and I'll post it as soon as I'm done.

Yes, Advent Children is really cool...I've watched it about five times now and it never gets old :) Mmm, PS3 is expensive but I want one too :D

I've beaten Kingdom Hearts again and I feel like picking up the first game and playing it over...even though I like the second one better. Whew, sorry for not posting in a while. I have a new comp so I'm still in the process of transfering and setting things up when I'm not in class. Sounds like your collection is really growing Baka Neko! Go Crest of the Stars! I watched that back when it was on Tech TV and really liked it. In my opinion it was better than the sequel Banner of the Stars although I didn't watch too many episodes of that one.

I'm kinda behind on posting my prints on Deviant. I wanna get that done soon before the end of the semester when I start to hand them back in XD Right now, my video game obsession has taken the form of Kingdom Hearts II. I've beaten it but am playing through it again on hard mode. I also bought Chain of Memories to go with it. And June 1st Half-Life 2's sequel comes out! Yay :D So I think I'll have enough games to keep me busy for a little while longer. Well, I'll check back in soon now that my compy is more or less set up properly... :)

More like it didn't happen... but at least I have found forcing myself to draw doesn't work out too well hehe so I will instead try just sitting there with my stuff and maybe something will happen but at least right now I do have a lot of thoughts in my head for a pic I just have to get them out... Howl's Moving Castle is a great film! I've only seen it once in the theater so I'm excited that the DVD is finally out :D I'm currently on spring break and am rather excited to be able to have a chance to work on animezenith and maybe draw some more. Anyway...if you've visited animezenith, you know that I haven't gotten a layout up yet. Actually, I've created it...I just need to code it XD I'll probably do that this spring break, which is all next week. Since my last post, I've started learning Flash and I'm eager to try out my new skills! I think I'll try incorporating some Flash into animezenith.

Thanks for the vote of confidence ^_^ And keep up with your drawing too if you can…practice always helps plus it’s a lotta fun to draw. I keep all my old drawings in a folder so I can check my improvement. That helps you keep a critical eye of what you do, see where you’ve improved, and find out what needs work. I’m constantly pulling old drawings out and comparing XD Another thing you might do is date all your pictures. That may help you see the length of time between certain points throughout your drawing history ^_^

As for classes, I have photography this semester, which I’m looking forward to. I’ve never had any classes on it before…all my work’s been completely amateur. Should prove interesting…

Well, my class is over and next monday second semester starts. It's my first time since I started college that I have a completely full schedule...*gulp* I'm gonna miss my Java Networking class, it was really a lot of fun!

Hmm...I don't know when the next Anime Iowa is...they haven't announced it yet. But it's always been in late august to early september so somewhere around there is my best guess.

Hehe, as for anime, I started watching Cardcaptor Sakura again. I watched that back when it was on Kids WB and it was the one to get me hooked on all things anime XD I realized though that I never saw the first two episodes. Either Kids WB never aired them or I just missed them whenever they were on. Regardless, I got to see them yesterday (well, actually Tuesday) and am really happy I did. Cardcaptor Sakura is my happy place...it's so cute and upbeat, I love it!

Classes are going along fine...I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up because I really didn't have any previous knowledge of Java Networking except one year of basic java programming. But I'm keeping up alright so everything's working out I guess ^^ It's a small class, only 5 students including myself. And the only thing I'm disappointed in is there are no other girls that are taking it. Hardly any girls take cs classes so I always feel like the odd one of the bunch...like I don't fit in ^^;;

I've heard of Rune Soldier but never watched it, but I think I've seen an episode of Twelve Kingdoms at Anime Iowa. It looked really neat from what I could tell :) F.E.A.R. sounds like a cool game. I haven't had a good fps since I started Half Life 2 so I'm kinda in withdrawl XD But I think the HL2 expansion called Aftermath comes out in April, so maybe I'll just hold off a bit longer. My brother bought Guitar Heroes and showed it to me yesterday. Omg that game is so much fun and addicting. It's the one that comes with the guitar controller and it's sort of like ddr where you have to play the notes in time to the song. It's so much fun! I recommend you get it ^_^

I did have a great Christmas...in fact, it was one of the best ones I've ever had. The whole season was wonderful and really 'felt' like the holidays this year. I hope it has been as nice for you too ^_^ Sometimes, Christmas feels like it sneeks up so it's hard to get into the spirit, but that didn't happen to me this time. As for gifts, the biggest thing I received was a PSP and I've been hooked on playing Lumines ever since!

That said, I hope you continue your drawings! I tend to take a long break from drawing too and sometimes it's hard to start again. But looking at other's drawings helps to inspire me, so maybe that might help you ^^ Hehe, and sometimes I start drawing and can't stop. I mentioned I did a few sketches a while ago and I think I'll scan one tomorrow and send it to you. I'd scan it tonight but I'm really tired ^^;

I have all of my Christmas shopping complete now, which is a very good feeling. Waiting until the last minute can be very stressful. I've also done a lot of doodles...mainly of anything that pops into my head. A lot of it is strange and has nothing to do with anything...no idea why I'm drawing in such a loose manner. Most of it is just plain scraps and serves the purpose of just letting my brain unwind I think. XD There is one picture that I'm rather fond of and I may try to color it to see how it comes out. Mostly I'm tired though so what I create looks like it belongs in a dream or something @_@ I've even drawn more than one character together which is strange for me XD Have you ever just picked up a pencil and just let your hand move and draw whatever it wants with your brain doing hardly any work at all? Strange as it may sound that's what I've been doing all day. Hopefully something positive will come out of all the 'playing.'

Yay, my finals are over! I'm so happy and relieved! I spent the entire weekend studying and now it just feels wierd to be done with another semester @_@ This entire semester I felt like I was doing my absolute limit, so this break couldn't have come soon enough XD I won't find out how I did for probably another week but I'm confident that my grades will reflect the effort I put into them :)

I have yet to do any shopping either. I have two presents so far and that's it. I still have a lot more to do! Hehe, there's still plenty of time though...

Now that I have a lot more extra time, I'll try to practice drawing more... I haven't had anytime to do any serious drawings...just a lot of doodles on papers that I should have been studying XD But hopefully I can make something worthy and then send it to you, since I haven't forgotten that the last pic I made was never sent. Hehe, you're lucky the weather has been mild by you. It may snow again this weekend here during a special holiday event my college art department holds every year...and I have to be present to supervise the media gallery. I'm looking forward to the event, just not the snow ^^:

Other than that, my finals are the 12 - 16 this month, coming up fast. But I'm looking forward to a long break. Heh, to tell the truth, I've been counting down the days to Christmas break ever since the first day of classes this semester!

Classes are starting to get a little easier right now. There was a period of about 3 weeks where I've been busy nonstop it seems, scrambling to get papers written and presentations done. @_@ Now it's just semester tests that are going to take up the most time.

So how did your thanksgiving turn out? Mine was good because I got to visit with my aunt and grandmother. Plus eat a lot ^_^ I'm very happy I was well over break and didn't catch a cold. The weather has actually been pretty mild here until today when it's like 20 degrees and windy outside *shivers*. Has it snowed by you because we were supposed to get a huge amount but nothing happened (thankfully!). I think it snowed everywhere except around Omaha XD

Yeah the second battlefront is even better then the first I have been having fun playing that... and also playing Fire Emblem for the Game Cube... Ah good old RO I have not played that in forever I don't know if I could get back into playing it... it can be a bit too addictive... Hmmm thanksgiving will probably be the same as every year... I'll go over to my parents house for dinner... or I might just sleep throught it hehe. I don't seem to do much outside of my apartment anymore. I spend too much time online or something like that. I really liked the first star wars battlefront. That was cool. I spent many hours last summer playing it. Heh, I always chose to play on the dark side XD I've been playing Ragnarok Online off and on the past eight months but took a break during classes. Now that this semester is coming to a close, I'm thinking about continuing playing it...just because it's still good fun and very addicting XD

Oo, I heard Fable was good ^^ That's another game I'd like to try.

It's my least favorite time of the year right now for one reason...end of the semester deadlines ^^;; I have an insane amount of work this year and everything seems like it's due in the next two weeks. Actually, I've been thinking about Age of Empires for awhile now. The only one I've played is the first one but I really liked it. Last time I played was a few years ago, but now I'm taking World Civilizations and a lot of the ancient cultures that were playable in the first game are mentioned. I have this urge to go back and play it, looking at it from a different perspective now XD But, it's not installed on my pc anymore...I'd love to try the new one if I get a chance. It sounds like a whole lotta fun. My favorite part of the first game was the scenario builder, where you could build the map and your city from the ground up. I hope they still have that in the new installment ^^

Also about pc games, Lost Coast, the demo level for Half Life 2, will be out sometime this week I think. So I'm going to download it off of Steam as soon as it becomes available XD

I beat Colossus too. That game was so cool! Now I'm replaying it on hard mode and yes, it's much more difficult. Some of the battles in that game are the most beautiful sequences I've seen not to mention the coolest concept! You gotta play it ;)

The schedule is tentative so I’m not sure what I’ll be doing and when. I try to go to Borders whenever I’m down there, usually picking up manga. There’s also a half price bookstore on Metcalf that sells manga too. But at the moment I don’t know when these two things will fit in. I got Shadow of the Colossus today. Only had time to play it for about an hour but it’s really cool :) I'll write more of what I think of it later on after I play it some more because I've only just started. What I have seen, however, is really good :)

I'm not playing any online games atm. I'd love to but I don't know where to start ^^;; There's so many lately and they all need a lot of devotion and time spent playing them. I'm gonna wait until I feel strongly about investing my time in a particular one before I try it XD

Also, the virus thingy is gone *claps*. Unfortunately I don't have such good news about my picture. It seems the program I was using was only a trial version and my trial period expired. I used to be able to set my comp clock back to a certain date and that would work but for some reason it doesn't anymore. And the type of file it's saved as will not run under any other program. It's also smart and won't let me download the program again and start a new trial. So I guess I'll just have to either scan and color it in another paint program or doodle something completely new. Sorries for how this turned out. Hopefully I can send something...anything...to you soon.

On a better note...I'll be in Kansas City next weekend on the 22nd and 23rd in the Overland Park area. Hehe, it's kinda nice to have sort of a mini vacation, or at least time away from this area, before the latter half of the semester when things get really busy with holidays and such.

Sorry I didn't write sooner! We just got our new DSL connection and got rid of satellite. It's so much nicer! XD And now online games won't be so hard to play (hehe, there was a lot of lag before).

I think the spyware thing that's been plagueing my comp is finally gone *knocks on wood*. Hehe, I probably won't know for sure until tomorrow because what it does is after I run a different virus scan, it stops popping up adds until I shutdown and restart my computer. So that way I think it's gone but it's not. Smart little bugger!

Yeah, I've installed and ran AVG, Spybot, Ad-Aware, and even Microsoft's own AntiSpyware beta program and nothing has been able to get rid of it >< I mean, it finds suspicious files and I either delete them or quarantine them... but, the program is still there and the next time I run the scan, the same infected files are back. It's like it regenerates itself and nothing I can do stops it. Hehe, I'm going to start calling it the Zombie program XP Maybe I'll just stop using IE and switch to Firefox. Lol, guess for now I'll just wait and see if I can google more information on how to remove it.

On a lighter note, it was my sister's birthday today ^^ Hehe, she just turned 14. All in all it was a fun celebration. Cake and ice cream, yum! XD

Yikes, I've been so busy this weekend I forgot about the pic ><'' So sorry! I'll try and see if I can get some done Friday. Today I found out that I've been elected to be the leader of my college's art club website. Hehe, I'm pretty excited but not sure exactly how to approach it since the club is brand new and we haven't done many activities yet. I'm also tutoring two people in Java class which is cool. I love helping people, especially with things like Java and website building since those are my two stronger areas. ^^

Let's see, what else happened this week...oh! I got a virus on my computer >< A bunch of spy ware ads pop up whenever I open my browser. It's so annoying and frustrating. It makes me mad thinking why anyone would create these programs. No damage is done so far...it's just aggravating seeing the popups and numerous processes running in the background. I think it's fixed now, but won't know until I keep using it. I found out though that I disabled cookies with Internet Explorer...which means I can't use it to log in to this site and type my posts. ^^; So instead of IE I'm using Firefox. Hehe, I hope you've had a less stressful week.

We've talked about video games we're playing/want to play and I thought I'd mention I'm looking forward to Shadow Of the Colossus for the PS2. It comes out the 17 of next month I think, but I can't wait XD Hehe, I really will be pressed for time if I ever get it. I can tell it's going to suck me in, much like Ico did by the same developers. Ooo, I did have a lot of fun ^_^ I got Kenshin manga volumes 15-18 so now I'm all caught up. Also I picked up an Eva T-Shirt and a couple little things like a Princess Mononoke keychain and DNAngel necklace. Let's see, my sister had one of many Edward Elric costumes...FMA was so popular this year! We saw the cosplay via video feed from an overflow room which wasn't nearly as cool as seeing it in person. Overall, I think the attendance has shrunk from last year which is sad... But in any case I'm glad to be back! And I added a picture gallery to my website of all the photos I took of the con. I don't have a costume really...I'm just putting together a wig and a cute outfit and calling it my "original character" heh ^^; I haven't been buying a lot of manga lately so this is my chance to splurge! I want to apologize ahead of time if I’m slow on posting new messages. Classes have started again and I want to give them serious attention. However, it doesn’t take long to post here so there shouldn’t be a huge delay…heh, unlike last semester when I hardly posted. I don’t want that to happen again ^^;; But just in case I’m bogged down for a few days, I just want to give a heads up.

Ok, on to other things...not much going on right now besides classes. I haven’t really found anytime to squeeze drawing in, aside from the random doodle in my notebook, hehe ^^; I finished watching GITS:SAC for the second time. It’s one of my favorite anime of all time. Also, I began reading Alice 19. A friend of my sister lent it to her and, in turn, I picked up reading it. Only problem is it’s the second volume and I haven’t seen the first…so I really don’t know much about the characters XD It’s good though, if only I could tell what happened previously. Who knows, maybe I’ll get seriously hooked on it (I have heard it’s a popular title) and end up collecting the remaining volumes :D

I heard good things about City of Heroes/Villans but haven't played it ^^; The only mmo I've had was Ragnarok and it totally sucked my life away for 8 months, haha XD I totally loved it though. If you want a good single player game you should get H-L 2. It's the best fps I have ever played...in fact, it's the best game I've ever played :D Plus you get Counter Strike: Source and HL2 Deathmatch free with it so you can play online if you want ^^ Very fun *thumbs up*

Hehe I make my characters based of characters from D&D games I have played... So its how I invision my character in my mind... So thats how I come up with characters to draw... Hehe, glad you had a good time :) About the art classes... I took a couple in high school as well but can't remember much from them! It's only my recent classes I'm taking now that things are sinking in. Iono why that is. Maybe in high school they taught me the techniques but not the theory behind it *scratches head*. I have a suggestion on your drawing. I learned from one of my art classes that when dealing with multiple objects in a scene there are several tricks to help. One is using a close cropping. That way, objects don't seem to float in the negative space but feel anchored. Another tip, although I'm not sure if it's relevant, is taking patterns and colors found in the foreground and repeating them in the background to tie the piece together. And if you find you spend more time on one character try doing a rough sketch of the background and characters together then come back and add details. Work back and forth from the characters to the background so its as if the picture comes slowly into focus. I hope some of this info helps!

VBS stands for Vacation Bible School and it's a program at my church that teaches children the importance of God. For the past few years I've been in charge of crafts. It's a really fun program for the kids which allows them to play games, watch bible stories being acted out, and make crafts...all the while learning what it means to follow God. But, each year after it's over I end up getting sick from being around the children...and this year's no exception ^^;; Hopefully I'll get over this cold in a few days XD

I need to experiment drawing two characters in a pic too. Because now that you mention it I realized I never do XD Increasing the number of objects in it is another good idea. Personally, I have a tough time with backgrounds. All that negative space can be tricky to work with. It sounds like you have thought a lot about it and have a good starting idea about how you'll approach it. I'm anxious to see it complete ^_^

Ooo, so you're birthday is very soon. Well congrats! My brother's birthday is the 8th...I have to start thinking about what to get him, but he already has so much stuff! He's gonna be 27. Hmm, he likes video games and just bought a new iMac. I was thinking about getting him Katamari Damacy, but he already gave that to me on my birthday! Hehe its always nice to be able to sleep in... just wondering what is VBS? Ok I picked an idea now all I have to do is start working on it... or rather work on it more... this pic will have two characters in it... unlike my other pics which I have only focused on one character... Nice pic! I like it it looks great. I think that can be one of the harder things to draw is clothing and the way it moves/folds it can be a pain to shade... I think you did a good job! Thank you for your support and reassurance of my art, because it really did help :) I found out that two of the pictures I entered, including the Koi, won first place in their category and the third (a photograph I took) came in second! Hehe, today was my birthday (actually I'm writing this after midnight so it was technically yesterday XD). I'm officially 19! lol. Didn't have a party or anything. Just the usual cake and ice cream. But, remember when I said I was bored because I didn't have any new games to play? Well not anymore because I got the fantastically crazy Katamari Damacy and super cool Half-Life 2 ^_^ That should keep me busy for awhile, hehe. XD Oh, I also entered that artwork into the fair. I won't find out if I won any ribbons until tomorrow (or the day after). Well, I need to get some sleep because tomorrow I start setting up for Vacation Bible School at my church. *waves* I'm back ^_^ Yea, everything went great. The wedding was held outside, and except for the extremely hot weather that cooked us all, it was beautiful. We had a lunch reception afterwards with really good food...and got to take a lot of pictures. Yep, practice makes perfect, hehe. I really don't have one single style that I use... What usually happens for me is I see something I like and I try to duplicate it. So I've tried using tools from traditional ink to computer vectors (like my avatar). Lol, I also have a couple books on how-to-draw-manga/anime-style. Right now I'm just trying new things until I can find my way.

I'm entering that koi picture in our county's fair... For the first time this year we have a digital image catagory! Lol, this year it begins on my birthday, July 21...aww XD Maybe I'll take that as a good omen :)

Awhile ago I posted a drawing of an angel and I mentioned that I have trouble drawing fingers and toes correctly. So in most of the stuff I do I chicken out and just draw the head or hide the hands and feet. But lately I've been pushing myself to draw these features and I think I've gotten much better! Now if only I can draw wrinkles and folds in fabric...

And everyone's always telling me to go for it and to be optimistic... So I gave it a try^^; I kinda didn't work on a new one for today though, and I feel really bad. I think Baka Neko-san should post more of his art! I really enjoy seeing what other people do, even though I always look down on myself.

There's Final Fantasy XI and Everquest too. As for singal player games, I just got around to playing Ico and loved it...but that's a fairly old game on the PS2 so...yea ^^

This may be a little early writing this, but I found out Gravity is making sequel to Ragnarok Online, appropriately named Ragnarok 2. It seems the only info circulating about it is a small 1-minute trailer. From what is shown, it looks rather interesting. I’m curious to see if it will do as well as its older sibling.

Ah, the movie was great! Iono, what else can I say, it's Star Wars XD I liked it much more than the second one...it had a lot darker theme which I think was appropriate and well put together. It tied up a lot of loose ends that still existed from the original trilogy too.

Lol, I'm bored right now because I don't have any games to play :P I'm thinking of joining a new Ragnarok server but I don't know which one. All my old friends and I have been separated. I'm considering HopeRO because one of my friends suggested it but if anyone else knows of a better one I'll consider it XD
